With the symbolic groundbreaking a new chapter has begun for the medical device company OSARTIS GmbH, which is currently still located in Dieburg. After the company had already purchased the 13.000 m2 property in Münster’s development area “Im Seerich” in 2019, the construction work on the new headquarter of OSARTIS GmbH is finally starting now. A modern office building as well as an associated production hall and warehouse are being built. Currently OSARTIS GmbH is planning on starting the relocation from Dieburg to the new headquarter in Münster in spring 2022.
OSARTIS GmbH is a globally active, medium-sized medical device company that sells its products in more than 80 countries around the world. The main markets for OSARTIS GmbH are Europe and North America. At the present time, OSARTIS GmbH employs about 100 staff members. The company was founded in 1994 with only a handful of employees at its headquarter in Lagerstraße Dieburg by former workers of the pharmaceutical group Merck KGaA, at that time with the company name Coripharm Medizinprodukte GmbH. After constant growth and various structural changes OSARTIS GmbH has been part of the Milan-based Demetra Holding since May 2016.
OSARTIS GmbH develops, produces and distributes innovative medical devices for use in orthopedics as well as trauma and spine surgery. The products of OSARTIS GmbH are used exclusively in surgery rooms. These include various bone cements e.g. for anchoring of joint prostheses and for spinal application, instruments for implantation of such bone cements as well as synthetic bone substitutes, made of chemically body-like starting materials.
Innovation and growth are important topics for OSARTIS GmbH. That is why in the company’s own development department about a dozen of specialized engineers, scientists and technicians are working on the development of new products for a better patient care; a process that in many cases takes more than five years due to the high legal requirements.
After more than 20 successful years in the business premises in Lagerstraße 11-15 it is not easy for anyone to leave Dieburg. But the existing facilities are too small and do not allow the expansion of the company. Therefore OSARTIS GmbH had to search for a new suitable location in the close proximity, which was found in the development area “Im Seerich” in Münster.

The ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a new building is scheduled for summer 2020, the relocation for 2021.

To put an emphasis on this independency and new policy, the long-term change of the company name has been decided. In the first step the new logo OSARTIS will be presented for the first time during the German Congress of Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery in Berlin October 2017. The corporate design will be released with the company presentation in the exhibition area of that congress.
At this date, the new website www.osartis.de will be activated and established as the new information platform for our customers and business partners.
The change of the company name will be implemented in several steps. In the first phase, the name of the company aap Biomaterials GmbH remains the same. With the release of the new website, the previous email addresses of the employees @aapbio.de will be forwarded for some time to the new email addresses @osartis.de.
